Le Chat Noir

Le Chat Noir is considered the first modern nightclub (artist salon and music hall). Located in the bohemian Montmartre district of Paris, it opened on November 18, 1881, and closed in 1897. It was famously depicted by the iconic Théophile Steinlen poster art, which can be purchased above as a high quality print on wood.
